Patient Portal Tips
-
When Registering for your Patient Portal make sure you have entered/spelled everything correctly. The information you enter must match what we have in our medical record system.
-
Sign-in to your patient portal 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill our any necessary paperwork prior to your appointment start time (20 minutes for First Time Patients).
-
We are providing both in-person and telehealh appointments. Please select your visit type accordingly (You must select a clinic location even if your appointment will be virtual).
-
Majority of Providers are Part-Time. When sending a secure message via your patient portal directly to an individual provider this can affect their response time. If you need assistance with a matter quickly, please contact our office at (951) 465-8371.
-
Our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System is NOT connected to your EagleAdvisor to respect patient privacy. This means any changes you make to your name, mailing address, phone number etc. in your Patient Portal will not be automatically updated in EagleAdvisor and vise versa. If you have changes to any demographic information please make sure to update your Student Health Patient Record as well as your EagleAdvisor accordingly.
- The patient portal is strictly for appointment scheduling, form submission, secure
messaging and medical record keeping. Your live telehealth appointment will be conducted
through an individual doxy.me provider link. This link will be emailed to you at the
time of your visit. You can also find it in your patient portal under the Appts Tab.
It is vital that students feel free to talk openly about any concerns they may have. To encourage frank discussions, all sessions are confidential as specified by state and federal laws. Concerns or questions about privacy can be discussed at the time of your visit.

As a currently enrolled student (taking 1 or more credits) at Mt. San Jacinto College, you are eligible to use Student Health Services. Once you make an appointment to talk with a Health Services Clinician, here's what you can expect.
For many students, it's a new experience to discuss difficult personal matters with a health services clinician. Often students begin by saying, "I'm not sure where to start…" or, "This feels awkward…" Before you begin, here are several things to consider.
In the past, you may have been able to handle physical limitations, pressures of college, work, and personal life alone. You may have even tried discussing situations with friends, relatives, or others. Sometimes, these people care so much about your well-being that they become over-involved in the situation and lose their ability to give an objective viewpoint. The health services clinician may offer a different perspective and may help you develop new strategies and solutions.
How is this done?
By discussing the topics of concern. As you get ready for your upcoming appointment try to keep at the top of your mind:
- The nature and extent of the problem with specific details
- Why it's a problem for you now
- How it interferes with your life and progress at MSJC
- How you've tried to deal with it
- What has been successful and what hasn't
- Some alternatives acceptable to you
- Goals for behavioral and situational changes
With this information, you and our health services clinicians can create a plan together
to overcome
any obstacle.

Telehealth is a great way to get the health care you need.
Telehealth — sometimes called telemedicine — is the use of electronic information and telecommunication technologies to provide care when you and the clinician aren't in the same place at the same time. If you have a phone or a device with internet access, you already have everything you need to get healthcare or services through telehealth — you are able to:
-
Talk to a clinician live over the phone or video chat.
Although virtual visits may not be as common or comfortable as traditional in person appointments, there are many benefits that explain why telehealth is growing in popularity.
-
Limiting physical contact reduces everyone's exposure to COVID-19
-
Visiting virtually can address health issues wherever patients are, even from the comfort of home
-
Staying put cuts down on commuting, travel in bad weather, time off from work, need for child care
-
Using virtual health care tools can shorten wait times to see a provider.
